This is my story as a stroke survivor and the importance of "can do - but differently" as a mantra for life after a stroke rather than "can't do anymore". In 2009, I rode my recumbent tricycle 850 kilometres to raise money to buy specific rehabilitation equipment that I wished had been there for me and to help people find those things they "can do".
Hey Doug: It a great relief to get your post! That was the very best excuse; it sounds as you left it all on the road. I can read your day-by-day reports, now that I know that it all worked out fine.
